Mr. Simmons concentrates his practice in the areas of Civil Litigation and Criminal Defense. He also advises clients, both public and private, on a variety of matters including Tort Claims pursuant to N.J.S.A. 59:1-1, et seq., CEPA claims, LAD claims, breach of contract claims and other litigation matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Simmons represented criminal defendants in Superior Court matters ranging from theft to homicide in his capacity as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender for New Jersey’s Office of the Public Defender – Union Trial Region. In that capacity, Mr. Simmons represented clients in jury trials, motion practice, detention hearings and emergent appeals.
