Alexander M. Avellan
Alexander M. Avellan is a results-driven and client focused litigation attorney at Antonelli Kantor, P.C. Alexander obtained his undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College and a juris doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. While attending Cardozo Law, Alexander served for three years as a Senator on the Student Bar Association and on the executive committee of the Latin America Law Student Association. Prior to joining the firm, Alexander ran for county commissioner in 2017. Following the campaign, Alexander served as the General Counsel for a nonprofit reentry program and was an associate at a large general practice firm where he handled a wide range of civil litigation matters and appellate work.
Alexander is a member of the Hudson County Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Venezuelan-American Bar Association. He also volunteers his free time with the New Jersey Coalition of Latino Pastors and Ministers, an independent, faith-based nonprofit, and Habitat for Humanity.
